Why Unconventional Photography? For photographer Harold Rail, this approach keeps photography spontaneous and creates a broad portfolio of work. Come and enjoy the unique Chicago-related imagery.

There are countless forms of photography and many photographers will tend to focus towards one (or a few) individual interests they may have. Unconventional photography allows the freedom to photograph anything visually that "seeing" responds to. This is predominantly situationally linked: depending on where we are, what we’re doing (if on a project), or simply out photographing without any specific plan or ideas. Harold Rail's most fundamental interest is in finding the quirky, the peculiar, the "unconventional" things out in the world.
