Property Tax Appeal Workshop

Property Tax Appeal Workshop led by West Deerfield Township Assessor Andrew Richter.

Lake County is in the process of mailing assessment notices out to all county addresses. Lake County issues assessment notices by township and the mailing of these notices initiates a brief appeal period of 30 days. West Deerfield Township Assessor Andrew Richter will host a series of workshops to educate residents about the appeal process.

Residents will learn how to:

--File an appeal of your Property Tax Assessment.
--Select the appropriate comparable sales to use in your appeal.
--Determine the best method of appealing your assessment.
--Understand the assessment process.

The workshops will be held at the Library at the following times. Registration is not required:

Friday, August 19 at 10 a.m.
Wednesday, August 24 at 7 p.m.
Saturday, September 3 at 10 a.m.
